All 4 brakes are dragging - need help
Hi all,
I'm running into an issue where all 4 brakes are dragging/sticking. After a short 15-20 minute drive without any hard braking, the rotors are far too hot to touch, and my gas mileage is around 13-15 mpg. I can feel the drag when slowing down. Some things I have done to try and resolve because the car needed it anyway:
- New Centrix calipers in the rear.
- New Advics Calipers in the front.
- New pads and advics rotors in the front.
- New parking brake shoes and hardware.
- all 4 new brake hoses at each wheel.
- New Lexus Brake master cylinder. Pedal was going to the floor which resolved after the new master cylinder (I did bench bleed and confirmed brake booster push rod is at the correct length)
Any idea what could be causing the brake to drag/stick?

Hi @AmanES300, thanks for your reply. I don't think it's engine braking because all 4 rotors are extremely hot after a short 15 minute drive.
I changed out the ABS module because the issue seems like it might be on the hydraulic side. When I tried to bleed the old ABS module using my Autel MX900, it was not activated. You should be able to hear it, since it is loud. Mine wasn't making a peep.
This weekend, I'll be performing the bleed, so let's see if I can hear the new abs actuator.
