Brake sensitivity
2002 ES300
Is there a way to adjust brake sensitivity? Like have the car brake with a gentle step on the pedal (like a new car) instead of having to push half way down to start braking?
Pads and rotors are "new" and brake flush done today. No leaks at master cylinder. Mechanic said all is fine and maybe my mom is just not use to the brakes (gave her the car a month ago)
Brakes aren't bad- she just needs to apply a little bit more pressure. She wants that new car sensitivity and with 200k miles, I just don't think that's possible

There is no "digital" or user-adjustable way to do that - to adjust the brakes.
Sounds like air in the system (or maybe expectations - not sure). No reason at all brakes feel differently at "xxx" miles vs. new. It's a closed physical system and nothing changes if correctly serviced/maintained.
Maybe it brakes differently than her prior car. My experience is that even when perfect, these take a little more pedal travel than European cars on average. If she's coming form a turbo Volvo or BMW, yeah, it may feel mushy.

I keep telling her its just by design. Pads, rotors, brake fluid is all "new"
