Default Widest Rear Tire?

What is the widest rear tire that can go under an '00 GS? I've got 275/30R20 on it now, but I found a screaming deal on some 295/35R18s. If I swap wheels, would there even be a way to make them fit? I'm thinking I'd need a 10" wide wheel, and I'm not sure if that'd fit.

I have a 295/25-20 tire with a 20 x 11 rim. If Michelin made a 305/25-20 (which some other brands offer) I'm sure it will fit too. This is NO rubbing at any ride height. PERIOD

The only way to make this combo work is to have custom offset wheels, down to the exact millimeter. No off the shelf generic wheel offset will come with the right offsets.

Go to ZONE, HRE, I-Forged, etc. and they will set you up with the correct fitment.

Oh the other thing is you need to shave the inner fender lip. I say shave as opposed to rolling, cause when you roll, you can't get as much clearance as with shaving.

This topic has been talked about quite a bit in the past.

Do a search and if you don't have all your questions answered, I 'll look into finding some pics or links to what I have described.

such as this:

As far as your 295/35-18, yes, with the right 10" rim and offset , it will fit.

I never remember, my offsets, but Rominl published a wheel/tire fitment guide posted as a sticky. Look up the info there.
