Hello guys, so I put 4 new tpms sensors in my tires and when i try to register them, the process says that they were registered but they do not stay registered, I have a VXDIAG VCX Nano cable with techstream software, did anyone had this problem before? Thank you.
First off, our cars do not have the auto register for tpms. Meaning you have to manually write down the serial numbers to all 4 sensors. With the techstream you will need to go to the tpms and change the serial numbers to the new numbers. If you did not write down the serial numbers, tire shops have a tpms scan tool that can pull up each sensors serial number by simply waving there tool near the sensor

Hi, thanks for responding, i know that, i have techstream software, when i try to register them, the process goes normal, but the tpms do not register, when i look at live data in techstream they do not update to the new ones that i registered just a few minutes ago.

Maybe theres an issue with your techstream see if theres an update, or see if you know someone with a good scan tool. Or just take it to a mechanic and have them do it for you
After the sensors are programmed to the ECU there is a short period of time that the ECU waits for the actual sensor to send out a signal and completes the relearn process. For whatever reason some vehicle pick up the signal quicker than others. Start the car and enter the ids into the ECU. DO NOT TURN THR CAR OFF. Go for a 20-30 minute drive. Hopefully during that time the sensors will send out a signal and the light will turn off and stay off. It’s much easier to do with a tire scan tool since you don’t need to drive just scan each sensor again. If you have the main/2nd tpms button also make sure that’s in the right position
Have you checked to see if your car's set 1 / set 2 switch (under the passenger's side dashboard) is set correctly? I have used the same combo (VXWorks VCX Nano and Techstream) to register my new TPMS sensors and it did work for me.
