06 GS 300 - I installed another LCD screen from a used car, and a new digitizer. I noticed that the ribbon on the new digitizer was long and skinny, where my old one was short and fat. Installed it anyway. Everything looked and worked perfect in the garage, but when I pulled out into the sunlight, the screen looks foggy. You can barely see the screen. Everything works on it, it's just hazy/foggy all over.

Did I get the wrong digitizer screen, or is it just a bad one?

 

Its hit or miss with these china digitizers. Do you have a picture of the digitzer you used?

When I replaced mine, I too had a foggier look vs oem, but it wasnt to bad. Thankfully mine lasted many years. The screen I used has a skinny ribbon with three letters in capital bold font.

 

I ended up putting the old digitizer back in, and it looks good now. May purchase another one since they're not that hard to swap out.
