Default Low beam headlight bulbs.

When turning on lights at night, roughly 20 mins into my drive my driver side headlights turns off. Didn’t know till my buddy told me. I’ll turn it off and switch it back and it goes back on. Happens a lot.
my question is, do I buy new bulbs and check the ballast? If it’s the bulbs, what brand and kind do I get? I’ve tried searching and it says osram d4s is a good one. I’m looking for a brighter bulb to see better . Please help with any recommendations. Easy to replace?

Don't have a solution to the problem that you're having but if you want a really bright bulb, you could get the Philips d4s 6000k Ultinons. They are pricey but they shine even farther than some newer cars with led headlights. The color temperature is closer to bright white, but not quite bluish. https://www.hidconcept.com/products/...UaArrIEALw_wcB

Unfortunately, both the ballasts and bulbs have the same failure symptom. If you want to troubleshoot, swap the bulbs and see if the problem follows the bulb. Removing and replacing the bulbs is a bit of a pain, so you could just take the opportunity to change them out and hope that solves the problem. The OE bulbs are either Philips XenEco D4S bulbs (probably what was installed by the factory) or Harrison Toshiba D4S bulbs (what you'd get if you walked into a Toyota / Lexus dealer and purchased part 90981-20024 (just in a Toyota / Lexus box).
