I just created my account here to get some advice regarding this used 2008 GS 350. This car has 93k miles and I think 3/4 minor accidents. The current owner has had this for the last 2 and half months and asking for 9k. I have attached the CarFax, and saw that the "Front brake rotor replaced" was less than 10k, "Timing chain gears replaced" at 27.9k. Now isn't this unusual? Do you think considering the accident history, is it worth it?
Please help me out.
read that carfax... poor car! i haven't looked up the kbb price or anything, but all those years in NY would give me pause too... (harsh winters, salt, etc).
I dont see nothing seriously wrong with the vehicle! As for owning it for 2 months more likely a car flipper trying to make a buck. 9,000 is a bit steep, 7,500-8,000 is what I would offer aslong as the under carriege is not rusted out from the NY winters.
As for the rotors, many people when they buy new cars will complain about minor issues like steering wheel vibrations while braking. The GS have a minor issue with slightly warping the rotors.
As for the timing chain I didnt see it in the list. But all GS had a recall for vvti gear which involves undoing the timing chain maybe its related to that?
I like the facts that its been dealer serviced until 2019
Try this, google the persons phone number and see if other car ads pop up under his phone number. If they do then know he buys and sells cars.
