Crank no start
I have a 2002 lexus gs300 I replaced all plugs and wires due to misfire in cylinders 1 2 and 3 along with a coolant temp sensor. I went to start it and it just cranks but before I changed them it wouldn't even crank. It's my only car as of now please help
Goodness I hate to hear stories like this. When you pulled the plugs, what did you see? You say you changed the "Wires". Are you talking about the coil packs? You really didn't need to spend the money without some pretty simple troubleshooting steps first. Maybe you did though. Did you swap the failed coil packs to the cylinders that weren't exhibiting misfires before you replaced them? When was the car last running? When did it start failing and what DTC (digital trouble codes) did you get when you scanned it? I can tell you with pretty good certainty that the odds of all three cylinders misfiring at the same time are just about nil. As in not possible unless one of a very few things happen. But since you are in New York, I would ask if you are in an area known for RATS. The next question I would ask would be did you notice any loss of coolant lately? Lastly, what other maintenance have you done lately before or after this problem reared it's ugly head. Since this thread hasn't been updated since August of 2022, are you even still monitoring the forum?
