No not scrub it down, I mean declutter. Specifically how would one go about doing a change or upgrade of the manifold/y-pipe that covers the engine?
i have a ge model and don’t plan on doing too much to the car for now but the manifold does make the engine look ugly and is harder to work on if I do. I am not going to pretend I know everything there is to know about cars so I am genuinely wondering how to go about doing this or what research I could do? Anything I’ve seen is to do with turbo builds and I guess itbs but I want to learn and not be screwed by a mechanic.
The part that goes over the engine can't be changed unless you custom build an intake manifold or swap to a GTE engine. That piece over the engine contains the throttle body, lots of vacuum connections, intake air heater, and variable length runners so its not removeable without a ton of work.
