need SMOG HELP

[SIZE=3]I need to get a my gs 400 "SMOGED" it has a supercarger and no cats
can anyone help me? Im in so cal thanks sam

Assume you have the RMM supercharger? I'd try going to RMM and asking them what they did with their test cars to pass.

From the little I remember, removing cats is a no no. On cars with appropriate emissions equipment, I am pretty sure it is illegal to remove or even reposition them. Without cats I don't see how RMM is going to help you.

Yeah, you need some friends...

But then again, if you SC has a CARB cert you might be able to fool em...if you run a stock airbox. That's the opinion of one of my friends who owns a couple of SC mustangs and a Viper GTS..BAZTURD!

Considering the numbers your car has to put up for CARB, I can't imagine how you could pass w/o cats, regardless of how clean combustion is otherwise.

oh ya we have 6% tax and no state income tax..... hahahahah unlike cali 8.25% and if ARNOLD becomes gov then it will be 9%

Having removed cats years ago in Cali, what I was referring to is the fact that it is illegal to remove any of the emission control equipment regardless of whether you pass the emission test or not. Or do we figure that all the cat back exhaust setups are just what people really wanted? Now if you get a "friend" to sign off on it, which is also tough because the emissions testers now are directly wired to Sacramento, more power to ya.

And depending where you are..you have a smog friendly friend called the Rollers! Think of your car sitting on a dyno like machine measuring the emissions.

But with Ahnold as governor I predict a rollback in emissions. He could make the tuner aftermarket world more popular just like he made the hummer more popular (sarcasm intended).
