I'm trying to figure out if I can get my 99 gs300 to start . I lost the chip off my only key . I went to junk yard and found a 00 Avalon with the key in it , so I got key , ignition , key amplifier , and ECU . If put those things in my car will it start ?

 

Sorry this isn't good news. The immobilizer is built into you primary ECU. Nothing from an Avalon or anything else in the junk yard is going to get your car to start as long as you're starting it with the stock ECU. If you find a 98-2000 GS300 in the junk yard with a key that you know is matched to the ECU, if the ECU is good, and you replace your ECU with that ECU (and key) your car should start. You'd obviously have to change the metal key because the cylinder on your ignition and every other lock cylinder in your car would not match the donor. Otherwise, if keeping your ECU, you need to talk to a Locksmith, dealer or some services online claim they may be able to help.

dealer ship has a program whare they will provide you with a free ecu and keys, you just pay for labor, do a search hopefully its still valid

 

buy a new key.. program it yourself..
