HELP on GS CENTER CONSOLE

HELP on GS CENTER CONSOLE
Hey guys,
I need to send my center console away to get matched with a JDM Blackwood design. The problem is that my Lex dealer said its held on with 4 clips but doesn't know how to take it off or doesn't want to take it off for me? I think they are either being lazy or afraid they snap it or they just plan *** don't want to help me
Does anyone know how to take it off?
Also, once I get this piece off I should be able to hoo people up with the same deal and we can have matching Blackwood kits that Steve is sellinh and the center console piece will fit.

Once you pull out the ash tray thing that piece just lifts straight up at the back. Then just unplug the switches and bring it out.
You'll need to have the car in a lower gear to make things easier too.

but i have 2 hold myself back..i'm closing on my 1st home dec 1st and mt wedding is 10/24 so i have a lot on my plate right now....sometimes i say if we have eloped i would have so much more by now but next year hopefully...this os one of the mods i really want 2 do and the new tails too but can't right now....chaskim let me know how this turns out please, mayb i can sneak this one in b4 the wedding....

removing console is easy first open ashtray and pull straight out towards you once out unplug harness then lift up center leather console grab the sides around the back where vsc and ect buttons are lift up it should snap right out and pluu off all the plugs and be careful cause the plugs can scratch the dash and console

Hang in there man, I wish i eloped too, but that was 5 years ago and at least now I have the pictures but the $$ would be nice. Don't wait for this mod because the center console will take 4 to 6 weeks to get a color match and be then all the bills from the wedding should be coming in. just kidding. Good luck man and I hope your marriage is as great as mine. I will keep you posted. Also I got a Escort GT2 performance timer its alot of fun.

I tried and got the ash tray out but thats as far as I got. I'm at work. Should I take the bolts out? I really haven't tried that hard yet as I'm wating until monday. The wife has taken over my GS and I'm driving the RX with the kids.

theres no bolts its hard i just did it on my new car and it pulled out with some force what i do is grab on the passenger side where the wood meets the lift up console and pull back and forward till it gives !!!! its a pain but it will give remember no bolts at all just clips

i can understand that, but the pic is 100% scary. i'd faint if i saw my GS in that condition.
