Default Pillar Panel Covers

My driver door of my 03GS3 is torn up bad from other drivers before I received this car. Anyone one buy these for their GS? I read on some they are not big enough to cover the scratches. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Assume you are talking about interior right next to the seatbelt? Many years ago when I had my 2nd gen GS, I had the same issue. I ended up buying a new one (not sure you can do that any longer) and had it covered with clear vinyl paint protectant film to keep it from getting gouged and scratched

My fault. The outside ones between the two side windows. Where someone would try the coat hanger method to unlock the car.

Mine are scratched up from old age as well; my plan was to wrap them in black vinyl, since I figured it was easier than repainting them.

That sounds like it would work. I have seen the kits on ebay. Wondering if any of them are worth a crap?

There are several different options on eBay, some are excellent but cost several hundred dollars, some are cheap but fit poorly and quickly look worse than before. I opted for a gloss black vinyl kit from 3M. They have a kit with the posts precut but they didn’t offer anything for the window headers to complete the look. So I just got the 4”x60” roll and recovered all the black surrounding the windows and deleted the chrome trim surrounding the windows also. It took a little time to do everything right. But it looks awesome, and only cost about $25. Plus 3M claims their 2080 Film should last for about 8 years with normal exposure to the elements. Originally I ordered Matte Black, once I started to install it, it was obvious that it wasn’t the right look. Now that I have been looking at it for a while, I think the shinier, the better it looks.

They should be able to be wet sanded and polished the way you can with paint. If you can't do it, ask a detailer.
