GS400. All was going well. Manifold off, valley vacuumed and bolts (3) removed from back of starter.
It should just fall out basically but it's stuck somehow.
I double check the bolts and three are in in my hand (lol)
Even put it in neutral but no luck.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Do I need to pry it out?

Thanks

Not sure about GS400 but on my GS300 you have to like wiggle it up and down and left to right to get it out.

Thanks.
I got it. First time doing it and I didn't have a point of reference.
I just needed to wiggle it a bit more aggressively to free it from the housing.

Ha, glad you got it figured out. I had to replace the starter in my 1999 SC400 a year ago. Fun job.
Are you going to replace the knock sensors since you are in there?
