Default P2121 keeps coming back

Last week while driving my CEL came on and my accelerator pedal became unresponsive; I would step on it completely and the car would barely move until the pedal finally stopped working.
My OBD-II gave a P2121 code which told me to replace the throttle position sensor.
I installed the new sensor yesterday and cleared the CEL then drove a few feet. My CEL came back on and pedal was unresponsive. Pushed my car back into my yard and upon turning on the car this morning everything worked fine went to the doctor but on my way back again the CEL came on and my pedal is mushy but responding.
I have my battery disconnected to try and reset the ECU again in the mean time does anyone know what could be causing this issue to come back after already replacing the sensor? All my searches keep telling me to change the throttle position but as stated even after doing this I am having the issue thank you all in advance for the help.

Please do some searches as the gs has a throttle body which carries a pedal position sensor as well as a tps which i think give the same cide on most scanners.

as stated already did research and changed both sensors the one on the front of the throttle housing that adjusts idle and the sensor that holds the throttle cable itself and still the same code.
