Default Spark plug wires

Anyone know what the normal resistance range for our spark plug wires?

I was told it should be between 10K to 15K ohms. I bought a new NGK set and tested them. They measured 2.4K (short), 3.58K (med) and 3.89K (long). I also tested the old wire set (Denso) and they were 4.98K (short), 7.69K (med) and 7.98K (long). All of them well below the 10-15K ohms range, do I just have wires that are just duds? I am more surprised by the brand new NGK wire set though.

I'm running the NGK wires with no problems. Don't over think it . I'd expect to see less resistance through them anyway. Better quality. Only certain vehicles I know of actually need to be in a resistance range. In general the lower the resistance the better. That's part of what you pay for with expensive race spec wires. I am actually going to be moving to a set of Magnecor 8.5mm for my NA-T build. I have to do what I can in all areas to support 800whp and want to get the best performance possible.

Under 25k you're ok. And like TrueGS300 said, less resistance is better.

Where did you even get the 10-15k figure?

Thanks, wasn't sure what to make of the lower resistance. I got the range from this article:
https://my.prostreetonline.com/2016/...ignition-coil/

I am replacing valve cover gaskets and thought might as well do the plugs & wires at the same time.

All the coils were tested and are fine. Had to replace all the plugs to the coils though because they literally disintegrated in my hand.

I just went through this when I installed my cams! At least the connectors are easy to depin or depin themselves.
