Looks like ill be dropping the pan to see how the strainer is looking.

The symptoms make me suspect fluid starvation.

I have a new MAF on the way.

Any other ideas ? These transmissions are pretty strong so I'm always skeptical about the trans actually being bad. I could agree with it being a worn torque converter though
Have you tried a new battery?

Also, check ground point EC on the back of the block, passenger side cylinder bank. You'll have to reach into the firewall area to find it. I know for a fact this ground point will cause all kinds of transmission issues if it comes loose.

thanks man. Yeah the battery was replaced about a year or so ago. I'll try to charge it at least.
My cars not moving though at all, the transmission doesn't engage when you put it in gear.

I've already replaced the diff on this thing so I'm doubting that is my issue.

I unplugged the negative terminal to the battery and let it sit overnight , and this morning when I started it up it actually started moving on it's own for a brief period but I did hear the ****ty metal on metal sound which leads me to believe my strainer is clogged.

I did a drain and fill before I left GA on the way to FL and I wouldn't have under filled it that much

Update - fixed the problem.

Dropped the transmission pan. Filter looked nasty and most likely clogged.

Instead of cleaning the filter I opted to buy a new one from autozone because the previous one looked pretty dirty.

I double gasketed the pan and threw everything back together and the car shifts smoothly again.

Looks like I'll be installing this magnefine filter I have here !

my fluid was dirtier than I thought. Makes a flush tempting but I can just use the cooler lines I suppose
