Look out 5-series, you may have met your match!

The next GS will get an all new body design.
As predicted by the Spies, the HPX Crossover concept car featured many details that may make it into the GS-series.
Look for a Lexus version of iDrive and the AWD system of the HPX, to be implemented, into the GS-series.
Prototypes are currently undergoing testing at the Nurbrgring racetrack and engine and suspension tweaks are being done with the help of the Porsche engineering team in Weissach, Germany.
A concept version of the car will be showcased at the Tokyo Autoshow this fall.
Auto Spies perspective: BMW better be looking over their shoulder with this one! In our estimation, it's a handsome 5-series (shouldn't that have come from BMW?).

I doubt that the 2005 GS will look like that. I was talking to a salesman (I know...not too high on the food chain but oh well) and he said that the new GS will retain much of the current GS. Kinda like the RX330 still has some of the RX300 in it, and you can tell. Looking at that pic, I don't really see any resemblance to the current GS.

I can see the headlights changed and wrapping back further up the fender (es300, SC430, LS 430, RX330)...... And they might go to a Mono headlight system instead of having separate high and low beem assemblies.
IMO, it would be nice to just get some solid details about the next GS. There been a ton of speculation without even the slightest confirmation of anything by Lexus.
Hopefully, the Tokyo Auto show in November will clear some things up.

Gotta agree with a few of the guys that say it looks like a Mazda6 or even an Intrepid.. Oh well the true test will be the Toyko Auto Show that will bring us something tangable.. I hope Lexus doesn't make this one that is posted above.. 5 Litre V8 does wet my appetite thou..
