Default Do you find riding with your Lexus enjoying and exciting?

Hi everyone, i am wondering about getting Gs430 for myself, but I also consider newer IS because of fun factor and texh features. I really want car which I can drive long road trips and not get bored. How about your riding with gs? Do you still find your gs exciting and enjoying to drive ?

Kinda dumb question. Compare the two yourself and make your own decision.

Drive both cars and pick the one you like better.

The seats in the GS are basically La-Z-Boy chairs, so it's not good for spirited driving, but it's comfortable over long distances.

Sometimes you have to add or change out parts to make it more enjoyable to your liking. Ever since I did my fiber optic headliner it is much more relaxing at night to drive and the last thing I did was add a full catback Tanabe exhaust so now it sounds more like my Supra and with a bit better acceleration too which is always nice to have.

I have the 300 and wouldn't call it exciting but it is one of the more enjoyable cars to drive that I've owned. For reference, the sportier cars I've owned were an SC400, three MR2s, and an NB Miata.

Don't be put off. The Series 2 GS is a delight - I've had mine for 20 years. All Lexus are good to drive but the Series 2 is more relaxing to drive than even the more up-to-date models I have owned.

Just don't expect the best in fuel-economy!

Same here....a 20 year owner...still enjoy driving her everyday. She's not the fastest but still has plenty of get up and go when you need it. Plenty of room and comfortable for long trips.

recently sold my 2010 LS460 and got back into a an 01 GS. It does lack a lot of the tech in newer cars, but it's super comfortable and I do like the simplicity of everything. Another plus is how easy it is to fix things and availability of parts compared to the LS.

Wow thanks, those are really good answers which help me decide to check GS!

To those who 'hate came to this forum', try to understand each other next time, i live in Poland where Lexus is not so much popular as in states, so even if I want just to test drive one its always over 300 miles away from me.

Our other car is a '94 Miata R Spec C. Expecting "sport" from a GS is a lost-cause. Great Sat-night-date car, yet "sport"... nope.

That's why I call about exciting and enjoying not sporty I know everyone has other preferences about actually enjoying a car but it's still a Lexus, which always (as I thought) be more luxurious than sporty

Being a "car-person", we've learned that not one car can do everything. Hence a Miata Type R, Lexus GS4, RAV4, and Camry. It's fun walking outside, and being able to choose a car to your mood/needs.

The GS4 was bought for a very specific reason, and it's met that spectacularly.
