DIY: Removing 3M Foam Tape
I recently bought a used Tom's wing for my car that had the old 3M automotive foam tape on the like this on the bottom.
Heat, WD-40, scraping, and goo gone all did next to nothing. I bought a rubber eraser wheel that goes into a drill used to remove pinstriping on cars and it took off the old tape and most of the adhesive like butter. It makes a lot of eraser shavings which make a mess but it was way easier than any other method I tried.
I hope this helps someone out since this forum has provided a ton of info for me so far
