Bilstein Backorder Blues
Waited a VERY long time for Bilstein sport (B8) on backorder and finally received a notification that they will never come because Bilstein has stopped making them. A sad day for GS owners.
Looking for recommendations on what to do now. I have H&R springs. Should I go with Bilstein HD (B6)? or maybe just stick with OEM? Are there any other options?
thx for any input

Yes, they rebuild their shocks too. I'm doing that for another car since they've stopped making shocks for it as well, and I had those custom-valved years ago when I bought them. My suspension shop says Bilstein's turnaround time is about a month, which isn't far off from this SVT Cobra owner's experience with his front struts.

Thanks for posting, Lexusjg1
Unfortunately for me, I have already gone with another option. Gonna try new OEM with the H&R springs. I found some info that led me to believe this would work out ok, but it seems likely the springs will be underdamped. Seems to be the best of my limited options. Definitely should have just gone coilover
FYI - the OEM shocks are WAY WAY cheaper in Canada than the US. Seems ridiculous, but it's true. Hope that info might help someone.

Has anyone reached out to Bilstein specifically to confirm that the B8s for our cars are no longer in production? Tire rack didn't have the B8s in stock when this thread was posted but their site now says that they have them in stock and they can be delivered in a few days.
