Default Rubber vs. polyurethane rear bushing

Per my earlier posts, I am going ahead with repairs to my 2003 GS300. But I was advised that one of the repairs - replacement of the rear knuckle bushings - cannot be done OEM, because the bushings by themselves are no longer available for my year. I would have to buy the entire knuckle, adding $1,000 to the cost. (I confirmed this with my local Lexus dealership). My mechanic reports he can use non-OEM polyurethane bushings with the existing knuckles. My question to the group is your experience/opinion of using polyurethane bushings vs. OEM rubber bushings? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure that I've ever seen a poly rear lower knuckle bushing. What I've seen other people install is this Dorman part or others from ebay. If you know of a poly option please link it

I'll get the source from my mechanic. When I do, I'll post the info on this thread.

I got mine from Megan Racing and they are harder rubber than oem. I had no issues with them and they are not expensive. It's worth checking it out.
