Default EDFC in dash

I just finished installing the EDFC unit under the headunit. A friend of mine painted it for me and it is pretty close to stock. Tell me what you guys think.

Thanks to futureGSorIS for helping me with the pics

No the ashtray is stock. It is very close and I am very pleased with the outcome. I also like the position of it because it is very easy to get to.

Thanks blue. Yeah the flash messed it up. I just finished it and it was too dark out to take the pics without the flash. It does match very well. It isnt perfect but it is really close. Hopefully I will see you in august. I got word from steve that the kit may be in the beginning of august. Well see what happens.

2b honest I think the Lexus dash should be left factory because it doesn't look right with an after market install.

i agree wit wilassasin on that...my head unit is the last thing for my stereo that i have to change out...but the fact that the stock head unit is such a wierd shape, makes me not want to.

Wat is that face-plate made out of? fiberglass?wood? and wat did u guys use to paint it? anyhow...i think that its a pretty clean install...juss enough to mayb sway my decision also =D

I bought the headunit piece from autotoys.com. It had a single din opening and then under that there was a small tray. The small tray was of no use to me so rather than cut into the dash we just mounted it in the tray area. We cut a piece of wood to frame the EDFC and then sealed up the creases. Then sanded it down until it was the same texture as the ac controls. My friend did the paint match for me. If you guys want I can find out what he used. Thanks for all of your opinions
