Default Stolen gs fix help

So I had my gs300 stolen back in Nov. It was missing for a month. They stole battery.. double din head unit with all the amp wiring and amps.
they also stole the dang battery terminals.
so what my question is should the car be able to turn over still without the terminals just the cables touching the new battery? And how could it have been stolen? Wiring under the steering wheel look intact still. Any ideas. It's been sitting since December and i wanna get this car moving to sell asap

Yes the Lexus should turn over as long as you have a proper connection at the battery but make sure your positive side amp wiring is not touching the frame or grounding out if you have any left. If you are selling the car just get a cheap used battery at your local junkyard and some new terminals from you local automotive store like firelizard said.

Sometimes people even use tow trucks to steal vehicles. Not so much like the old days when a door jimmy would get you into the car and a flat head screwdriver would start it up. Maybe you might remember when people used "The Club" to lock the steering wheel?

If they didn't have the key, they physically took it.
