Default Tell me what to do next to my sweet sweet GS300!

Just joined the forums after creeping for a minute! I just bought this 2003 Lexus GS300 in a sweet parchment white. It’s got 176k miles (PLENTY of life left!) and i got it for 3700 bucks. I’ve done tint, tanabe NF210 coils, 18” Falken RT-7Ms, LED tail lights so far. Getting painted is a TTE style bumper lip and a sleek trunk lip as well! I will add pics of those soon. What do you guys think i should work on next? I’m guessing intake to actually get it sounding legit. Thanks for welcoming me! Here is my GS. I have slight headlight tint and gunsmoke tail light tint as well. I don’t like the green tinted headlights. Let me know what y’all think of headlight tint (minor). I think it’ll look stealthy

How i bought it. Foggy lights, stock coils, poop rims, no tint.

First thing i did was change the tail lights. I’m debating tinting them as they are bright.

NF210s. RT-7Ms. Cleared up lights. 15% tint

Side angle

The bumper lip is gonna look good..

Welcome to CL.

That car is very clean, seems like you got a garage queen there. Intake on a GS300 don't really enhance the sound, try looking into a full catback system. Green tinted headlamps were an upgraded dealer item, I love mine.

As for modding, I would say make sure you take care of the basic maintenance items first. Mods are subjective to individual's taste bud. Do what you desire.

wow havent seen a clean GS for a minute, welcome to the forums, like stated above, i would suggest taking care of maintenance first. Common items i would look into are the ball joints and of course TB and WP job if not already done by now at 176k.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yea so im having second thoughts on the headlight/taillight tint. Honestly i thinking gunsmoke the tail lights will bring the red and silver color together and make the them
pop more...or heck even hide them more is maybe what i mean. Y’all think just a lightly tinted headlight to knock off the green hue/chrome housing would be that bad? Hmmm. Also I’m about to buy at least an intake and muffler maybe? I don’t think i have the money for a full exhaust. I’m not trying to spend over like 300 right now lol.

i personally think a light smoked out tails would go well with the white body.

That’s all i needed to hear. Tint will go on soon to the lights. My air filter is dirty, i already attempted my own cleaning of the TB. It was mildly “carbonated” but I’m a newb so I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing. I want some more ponies in this thing. What’s my next performance upgrade with 300ish bucks

I think he was referring to the timing belt (TB) and water pump (WP). Your mileage is a LOT if it hasn't been done

Ha no no the timing belts been done. Actually not sure about water pump. I thought he meant throttle body. It was throwing a throttle body code for a minute until i cleaned it a little. I do have a slight leak i think actually cuz i do smell some sweetness and see some leakage around water pump (i think) but no check engine light. Can someone recommend a good option to spend around 200-300 to make the car sound throatier??

You bet baby! 066. Parchment White. It’s like matte white with crystals too!

Congrats on the pickup; it looks much better already! We would second the recommendation for a quality catback system next!

NF10s weren’t low enough for me so i just got DF210s. Gonna ride on the stock struts i think! 1.8in drop in front and 1.5 in back. Shouldn’t be too bad. I’m looking at getting new struts. Car is going in for regular maintenance tomorrow. Oil change, K&N air filter, brighter low beams YELLOW hi beams so when they run as DRL they’ll hopefully glow yellow with gold fog lamps too! I took off the fog lamp tint. I can’t decide if I’m doing a muffler delete or dropping 250 or so on a decent axle back system. What do y’all think?

I would go for a full system unless you're a fan of drone. I have the Toms stainless catback which is a really good combination between being louder but not obnoxiously loud and not to much drone on the highway. I'm really happy with it but its definitely on the expensive end
