2000 GS300 Multiple cylinder misfire, 1, 2, & 4
I have a 2000 GS300 with about 110k miles on it. Recently it started misfiring. When just running it in the driveway the misfire is not that pronounced but it is a little rough. When you get out on the road it is more noticable as it seems hesitate and stutter very noticably. CEL and VSC lights are both on. Code reader shows P0300, 301, 302, and 304. I did check the OCV filter even though it wasn't throwing that code just because it was easy, quick, and free to do. It was clean. Considering the firing order on the car is 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4 I am somewhat leaning towards the no.4 coil or plug since that could possibly be also showing up as occasional misfires on 1 or 2. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help but the same thing just happened to me this week. My car sat for 5 days and when I came back it started fine but after a mile or two of driving it started a slight stutter. By the time I made it home I thought she was going to die completely. Scanned it and got the same codes but next time I tried to start it up it was smooth as ever. No idea what happened.

Figure I will make an update to this since it seems the problem is resolved.
The problem went from intermittent to almost all the time. Made the car pretty much undrivable. Ended up doing a fair amount of googling both on this forum and other places. After buying a cable and installing Techstream on an old laptop I was able to narrow it down to cylinder 4 via the live data. It was the only cylinder registering a regular miss. After that I ordered new denso plugs and ngk wires/boots since I was going to be in there. Changed the plugs, wires, and coil boots. Also switched the #4 coil to #2 cylinder then put everything except the covers back on to start it. After the coil switch the miss moved to #2. Replacing the #2 coil was easy since it is the one you can actually access without removing the TB. Seems to run perfect now so problem solved. Got lucky with the coil connectors as none of them seemed to be in bad shape. Did have the retaining clip on the TPS sensor snap when removing it. Haven't fixed that yet since it seems to fit fairly snugly without the catch.
