Default Gs400 going Skynet, tried to kill me...

not exactly but kinda

ive been dealing with a p0120 and p0121 tps codes. Already replaced the pedal sensor and tps. Both have been calibrated. I thought my alt was making emi due to a bad oil leak so that's new. Battery terminals are freshly cleaned and tight.

But this car has been randomly revving itself. It's tried to take off on me in the zaxbys drive thru, backing out of my driveway and even while cruising 50mph. It actually went to 60% throttle with my foot off the pedal before it went into limp mode. I'm running out of answers here. I'm currently back probing the apps signal wires at the ecu and watching pedal voltage but haven't witnessed anything unusual. Something is *telling* the ecu to open the throttle.

also, it has shut off on twice. Once while idling. Once while cruising 40mph. Just stalled, while on the throttle, right after glitching and surging on the throttle. According to Toyota, the etcs will instantly kill the motor if it detects something stuck in the tb. But this was not my case...

anyone have ideas? Do I need to replace the tb motor next?

Check the TPS adjustments again is my suggestion.

Ok.
Tps is at 14.7% while closed which is in spec according to the info I found. Pedal sensor is where it is. It reads 1.86v at idle though.

Definitely not a calibration issue, if it were, you'd get high/low idle, high/low throttle response ALL the time; not randomly as your post suggests. I would like to believe its an open short somewhere. Check your wiring thoroughly. Since you're savvy enough to use a scan tool to get the readings, I suggest taking the readings again, but at the same time, wiggle the wires like crazy to see if the readings change. Wiggle AT the connection and the tails all the way to the computer.

If it were a pedal issue, you'd be getting (IIRC) a p21xx code for that.

For the mean time, if you need to get around, you can unplug the sensor and run the throttle manually. You'll have to floor the pedal the whole time, but it will get you around. As you may know, flooring the pedal (with the sensor unplugged) gives you about 10% physical throttle as opposed to electronically. I drove around like that for about a month till I was able to fix it. You'll get hard shifts, but it gets you around .

again, check your wiring

Did you try resetting your ECU? If not do so to weed out all codes.
