Default GS400 Help urgently

Hello everyone i just bought an Gs400 2000 and it has 180k miles on I got 2 serious problems and 1 also not too serious the car drives perfectly but in idle the car idles so rough like hard and sometimes it stalls i changed the coils,Spark plugs and I cleaned the injectors which took 3 hours at the mechanic and the car drove nice next day i started the car the same hard rough idle and while in Reverse or D it goes to 0.5 Rpm and it seem that it will stall plus the carbon smell coming out from the exhaust is killing me the only thing i didnt change is the air filter so what should i do,the second problem i hear noise when i accelerate or i just drive i thought it was tires bearing i changed the 2 in the front and its the same and its very noisy and the last problem is the speedometer the needle works but it reads wrong speed if im 70mph it reads 30mph and the temp gauge is not working all the other are working perfectly i know i talked alot and i searched alot but like im going out of money and i didnt fix the problems :/

Check for vacuum leaks along the intake and hoses.

Do you get a CEL? I would check your vacuum hoses I had a leak once and it would stall and the rpms would get very low. You may have a cracked or separated hose at your purge valve (see photo below). You will need to take the engine cover off and look around.

Get some throttle cleaner and a old brush. remove the air inlet tube, open up ur butterfly with ur hand and spray the cleaner & use the brush to break up the carbon build up around the butterfly. That should help big-time

My 03 LX did the same thing your car is doing due to bad gas. Scanner read both cats & cylinder misfire. Cleaned the intake out with seafoam. The drained the tank. Then I saw a video on using lacquer thinner. I poured a gallon in my tank then filled up with premium fuel to a half tank. Drove around on that mixture until it was empty. then refilled with premium fuel. During the driving the stallness slowly stopped & the thinner cleaned my injectors, cats, plugs & absorbed the moisture out my tank. To this day I have no problem & all error codes are clear. Didn't reset anything. I did this Feb of this yr. Thinner has the same additives as fuel cleaners + more. Very excellent at absorbing moisture

Don't do the lacquer thinner. Google it and you will find many negative consequences. I don't think it's worth the risk.

hard rough idle and while in Reverse or D it goes to 0.5 Rpm and it seem that it will stall plus the carbon smell coming out from the exhaust
You more than likely have a vacuum and/or exhaust leak. You need to take the car to a reputable indy or Lexus dealer, someone who understands the car. I fought with the low idle (and stalling) for months until I took it to the dealer and they found the problem in no time.

I've mentioned before in another thread on this site it doesn't hurt to spend the $144 or so to have the dealer do a diagnostic (that's what the rate is here in NC). You don't have to have them do the work. But it will save you a lot of time (and expense) from guessing as to what the problem might be.

thinner does work. You have to burn the contents out & don't leave lingering in ur tank. When I used it I drove my truck until I burned it all out. Then I refilled with premium fuel. I didn't leave it in my tank
