Default Transmission Issue

Hello,

Recently bought the car used with 145k miles on it, i have no idea what the service history is but on a cold start when i put the car into reverse it takes a long time to kick in and its very sluggish. It would do this on drive too when its a cold start. When the car has been driven for a while it has no issue. Do you think it need a new flush fluids or a new transmission rebuild etc.

Wouldn't hurt to do a couple drain and fills just make sure you use Toyota fuild only and replace what comes out

Probably just low on fluid. Check the level, top it off and look to see if there are some leaks. I had the same exact problem and it was just low on fluid.
