Default GS300 troubleshooting

Hello guys, i decided to try this forum since the swedish lexus forum is not too active (sorry for any mispelling)
I bought a 2002 gs300 about 2 months ago, it was quite slow but i mostly attributed that to the weight and it being an auto and since i mostly drive in town traffic i was fine with it.
However i tried taking it on the highway recently and i could not get it over 90kmh (56MPH) and it would not rev past 3k rpm at that speed, sounding like it was at redline.
I timed my 0-60 and it was about 20 seconds and from what i have read it should be about 8-9 seconds.
So i guess im here wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or atleast has any good advice.

sorry if it is a bit incoherent but it's really hard describing something like this in another language and in text.

Well Met

Could be o2 sensors. The symptoms are too common to point to just one thing. Do you have any codes, CEL on?

no check engine light and no codes,
i could also add that the power is very unconsistent, for example lets say i drive to the store and it's really sluggish like how i descibed earlier but when i come out from the store and drive home it feels really responsive (in my mind how it should be)
after i posted i tried going on the highway again and i could get the car past 56mph i managed to reach about 75mph before i hit my exit, on the way back it took me 12 miles to reach 60mph wich is about the distance between the on and of ramp i used for the test.

Try the cheap fix first. Clean the MAF and see what happens. When was the last tune up?

Again, can be a number of things.

If you have not done so do a full tune up, replace all spark plugs, wires and clean the throttle body of all carbon build up. Change engine and transmission fluids then reset the ECU. In addition I would change the fuel filter and use the highest octane gas you can find.

Without CEL lights on there's possible unmetered air entering. Check the intake and the resonator box on it that sits just above the header for leaks or cracks. And all other suggestions on maintenance above.

Its been awhile but if my memory serves me it Turned out the catalytic converter that sits in the front pipe was clogged(looked more or less melted from my memory) so just ordered an aftermarket front pipe and that fixed it.
