My Latest mod now revealed...
I like that with the rear view mirror alot.. congrats on that idea, very original.. I have a camera in color that I had installed about 4 years ago and trust me it helped me out alot in certain situations like when the police mess with you and little do they know that they're being recorded, lol.

I agree with everyone else, very clean install. How is the quality of the pioneer screen? From the pictures the screen quality looks to be quite good. Keyhole is a good place for the camera. Who uses the keyhole anyway??
Thanks everyone for the replies. My car has been a project since the day I bought it. LOL I still remember the day I rolled off the dealership in my brand spanking new car and told myself, "All I need is Wheels now and I'll be set". Hmmm.... YEAH RIGHT! Ever since I found Club Lexus and started talking to my new found family, it's been non stop. Thanks guys... My credit card company loves you... hehe
LXOGOOD:
Your ride truly lives up to your name. Very beautifully done. I also have a hooked-up phat GS but I must admit, your's trumps mine and thats really saying something.
Please tell me more about the rear view mirror monitor and how it was attrached and the hole that must be in your trunk with the camera. How much did the 8" inch monitor cost and the wiring and the camera etc. I might want to get the same thing done. I need more info and pics if you can send them to me.
Its a great idea and really finishes of the car nicely.
You can send info to: ted920@hotmail.com
The trunk is gorgeous as well. Ho wmany yard dod you need of suede to do the trunk?
Peace,
Ted

Ken,
Beautifully done! One Q, did you reverse tthe video? I had a rear view camera insttalled before but the image caused a lot of confusion while driving on highway. Since the car that's passing on your right looked like it's passing thru your left on the screen. How did you overcome this situation?

Let me see if I can answer the questions in order here...
Yankees Diva: The Lexus Logo was custom created by cl. member AudioGil. It was done by hand with just a Lexus Logo print out that was blown up to a larger size. The logo is made of wood, bondo, polyprimer, paint, clearcoat. This was a very time consuming project...
ted920: Thanks for the compliments. I'll send you the info later today....
JacobT: On the cheaper model camera's, the image is reversed. I know that cl. member rthammer had the same problem. His camera I believed was bought at a local electronics store. I had NO such problem with this camera. The camera is mid-quality and cost about $150.00
LexCiting: I can't remember off the top of my head the name of the camera. If you like, PM cl. member Audiogil who could tell you everything you need to know. He purchased the camera for me.
To everyone else... If you have any questions about the camera or custom audio install, please PM audiogil. He will be glad to answer all of your questions... Thanks everyone
