what is L-tuned?

i feel like an idiot asking this

, but i guess im not up on this. but what exactly is L-tuned?? i read about it a lot in the posts, but im not sure what it is. any explanation would help and appreciated, thanx.

its also the only aftermarket stuff that most dealers will allow under warranty, but of course, it depends on if they installed it and your market may vary
