Replacing APPS-- OEM, aftermarket, or partial?
I have a 2001 GS 300. In a previous thread I asked about replacing a throttle control motor, and with help learned that it was likely a problem with the APPS instead (the accelerator pedal position sensor, sometimes called the throttle body sensor). So I need to buy a new APPS. My question is, should I go with OEM, or do the aftermarket ones work OK? Has anyone used an aftermarket one with success? If you did, where did you get your aftermarket APPS?
Also, I noticed that you can buy just a "partial" APPS-- without the spring mechanism.
Here are examples from Ebay: The OEM APPS's for 180.00. There are some generic looking ones from china for 95.00. And there are some that don't include the spring and cable part for 132.

Can anyone offer experience with these or a recommendation? Thanks again for your help-- I need to get this car working again.

I would generally try to find a non-OE part from the same manufacturer. For example, the generic Denso part vs. the same Denso part with a Toyota/Lexus part number. Whenever this is available, it's the option I choose unless I am upgrading something.
Being in Canada, I generally use Auto Parts Way.ca, TheWrenchMonkey, and RockAuto (which serves you guys too) for stuff like that, and they're generally pretty good for things like that.
