Default Battery Draining Issue

Hello Everyone,

Needed some advice regarding my 2GS300, I have a battery draining issue. After 24 hours of not using the car the battery is dead.

Not exactly sure what is going on, I replaced the alternator since it was putting out only 11.6 volts. Once replaced, I was getting 14.2 volts while the car is running at the battery. The battery has also been replaced, its a optima red top.

However, when I turn off the car I only get 11.3 volts from the battery resting. The battery was replaced as well with an optima red top. Took the battery to Advanced Auto to complete a load test. The service tech stated the battery needed a recharge which was completed.

Update:

The car has a parasitic draw, I did an amp test and got this. Pulled all the fuses under the hood in the compartment in front of the battery and nothing dropped.

I wanted to pull the fuses from inside but how do I trick the car in thinking the door is closed? I didn't see a door plug to hold down.....

I am still getting the same issue where if the car is not running for one day the battery is dead. It is still running only 11.4 volts resting and needs a jump every time. I had a backup camera which I uninstalled and currently running an aftermarket radio which was installed back in 2015.

I cant see either causing this issue, any thoughts on what could be drawing power or even keeping my battery from having 12 volts resting. I have considered running an O gauge wire directly to the alternator and a grounding kit, but that shouldn't be necessary to correct this.

Any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreacited.

Thanks for your input
Still sounds like the battery might be the issue. If the alternator is putting out that high the battery should have a higher voltage

Anyone know if the door locked actuator causes a draw, my passenger side stopped working and I am thinking this may be the problem.

I wanted to do an amp test, how do I check the inside fuses with the door open? I didn't see a door switch

In your original post you said your only getting 11 volts with the car off. If the vehicle hasn't been sitting and the alternator was charging at 14 volts not sure why anything draining would matter.

24 hours after driving the car the car will not start without a jump. the battery goes even lower then 11 volts. Sorry for the misunderstanding

Check the EFI relay which is located near the battery and see if it's clicking every few seconds. Had this problem and was draining my battery overnight.

No clicking on my end, I am going to have to check the fuses inside the car.

Just dont know how to check it with the doors open

Bump....

having a a battery drain issues, found it was the ECU B fuse drawing .783 ma with it pulled it dropped to .5 ma. Does anyone know what everything that fuse is hooked to? I know it's what keeps the memory for the car, seats, radio, clock etc.....

And panda if you haven't figured it out yet for the door jam switch, use a screwdriver and close the latch on the door, it's not a button like other cars it's connected to the latch.

I hope you realize that 0.783 mA is barely any draw at all. I am actually surprised its that low. The battery self discharges faster than that draw.

Is it? After several days of not driving the cars dead. Checked the charging system and it's 14.7 volts, had the battery tested at autozone and they said it was good and needed a charge. Pulled that fuse and it dropped to .005.

Are you giving me the reading of your meter in amps or milliamps? A value of 0.005 means nothing without units. For example, 0.005 A = 5 mA.

Have a picture of your meter when you are measuring with the fuse in and fuse out?

Where in CA are you?
