I want to share how i will be mounting my Front Camera.

Any one else with Front Camera?

I am excited for this mod as it will modernize this 13 yr old car!

I first tried to mount on license plate but it didn't get enough angle... but i think this position much better!

Eye on parking blocks.

 

May I ask the purpose for the front camera? I can only maybe think for parking, but seams unnecessary

make sure you keep an eye on it cause bugs and caca will get all over it, not to mention a nice rock to the lens would suck

 

just for parking so i don't scrape my front bumper.

Yes, rock chips would be sad too. but if this work out, i might get spare camera.

Maybe devise some type of protection, maybe a small strip of Lexan that you can place over it (undetectable of course) its cheaper to replace if it gets struck

 

What if you drill a tiny hole and mount it inside the L emblem?

 

How did you link it up? To the factory nav, external display?

I have a Blackvue DR650S-2CH on my pruis (front/Rear) but its in case someone runs a light and hits me and says they didnt, vandalizes my car when im not in it or something of this nature. it has 8 hours of recording after i turn the car off and can be adjusted for more. Saves to a memory card but i can access it on my Iphone

I think buying a small plexi glass and placing it in front will save you headache and money down the line. Or go on eBay and buy those cell phone add on camera lens and mayb you can hack the housing to fit with yours. They are not that expensive.

im not on Pruischat as atm i dont have to do any maintenance (free 2 years) and i dont have time to be on more forums lol. Plus my 2015 came with Fog's the older ones didnt

I just finished positioning and mounting the front camera.

i just need to run the front and rear camera wires, mount the BT MIC, and replace my existing double din.

 

Here's all installed and in action!
