Try holding the button while turning it on and see if it keeps it cold.

Is it getting cold at all anymore, do you hear the compressor clutch engage and disengage when you press the button?
Like I said on my second step, I discover that the compressor no start or engage. But, I never try the turn off and on the A/C button to see if the compressor engage again. Good point If I have time tomorrow I'll try that. Again, I let you know what I found out as sooner I can.

lextout,

What do you mean with your compressor is shot? That the A / C compressor died. I need a new one? How this happened Because the compressor did not give me any indication that was damaged or dying?

Update,

I found a Climate Control Unit, install and nothing. The clutch on the compressor no engage.

So now, I need to buy a pressure switch. Why?? Because, when I was looking if the clutch engage, I take the electric plug out of the pressure switch and my two electric fan start working a high speed, both fans. I plugin the switch back and the 2 fans stop. The car no was on high temperture to make the 2 fans running or made to work.

I take the climate unit out, put back the original one and I wait to see the car go to the high temperature to verify if the 2 fans start working and both fans start work at the high temperture. So, is maybe the pressure switch that is bad, make short circuit and that short circuit no let then pass power to the clutch and that way the clutch not engage.

I let everybody know later what I found out when I buy the pressure switch and I install it.

Also, this time when I re installing the climate unit back ( the original one ) I no see the A/C button flickering no more, still ON. Also, I turn off and on a few time and see that is good.

More input it is appreciated.

Thank you

Also, when you have the climate control AC button blinking check this switch that the compressor have on the bottom front compressor.

The black switch

This is the black switch and when go bad, he send a signal to the climate control AC button and the AC button start bliking. So, next time that you AC button start bliking, check this electric switch. Also, check you freon pressure.

And this is the gasket and where the freon and oil coming out. :-(

That switch probably went bad due to the freon and oil dumping all over it.

I got my denso compressor off rock auto for 260 I think. So that is a good deal. I also took it to a shop in Miami beach that does really good work. They did the full install for 200, sold them the old compressor for 20. I did also replace the condensor and I would recommend you do the same.

Lol. Wow that is a really good deal. I would actually be cautious, denso condenser a d compressor for 250 new? If it checks out then jump on it.

I can give you the details of the shop I went. They had great reviews on Google. The cost after selling the old compressor with tax was 197 I think.

I would love to be close to Miami to do that in the shop that did the work in your car. In Miami you get better deals. I personally know. There was where I buy my GS
