Default Quick ML Amp question

Hello CL,

Wondering if there is a solution to my problem that I may not be aware of. I have a 2001 GS300 w ML and the music cuts out when you turn the volume up to a certain level. I am sure it the amp cutting out because it only happens when the bass hits. If I turn the bass down then I can turn it up louder but cant enjoy the full richness of this good sound system that way. I really would like to keep the system stock but not willing to buy a new ML amp. Is there a service bulletin to repair them? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

No bullitin that I know of but I don't know everything. did you try searching this topic?
otherwise the amp is toast. see if you can find a replacement or you might have to go after market.
Are you sure your amp is ML? what year is your GS?
The Nak amps were notorious for having this problem. that high output cutout drove me insane so I rewired/reworked the whole damn audio system..lol

Yea Def ML 01 GS300 and My 1st gen had the NAK which I honestly thought was better than the ML. But now that I am older, I dont really wanna change everything out but I am considering since I cant enjoy it fully.

For sure I agree. I noticed that in Audis as well the reg system sounds just as good as the Bang Olufsen system. Not as clear in the highs but the the mid and lows are just as good.
