sorry rominl,
i don't have a scanner or dig. camera for the pics. but i will try to find one and post some pics later.
yes, i traded my 02' is300 5 speed. there is too much problem with the car, its best i get rid of it while the trade in value is still decent compare to maybe six months or a year later.

Question What problems?

What problems did you have with your `02 IS300? ....... if you don't mind me asking. I have a good friend from high school that is very very close to buying an `03 IS300.

Default congrats.. and can I ask...

Congratulation on your purchase ...

Hopefully you won't mind if I asked you this. My brother is looking toward purchasing either a GS300 or RX 330. How much lower than msrp can I get a GS for, w/o tax ?

thanks guys
there is too many minor problems with the is3, but couple of major ones i had so far is the clutch and the bearing and pressure plate all had to be replaced under warranty with 15,000 miles on the car. the build is just not up to lexus standard in my opinion.
but anyway, took a huge lost and decided to go with gs3 sport design and couldn't be happier
the gs300 is one fine car, should have did this couple of years back. but hey, i'm a happy camper now.

oh no comparison, i will take a lexus over an acura any day, no offense guys, i've driven both cars alot. in the past, 94' integra gsr, 2001 cl-typeS, good cars but not great like the lexus. the 01' type-S i only driven for seven months and i was sick of it. (overrated in specs wise, imo)
as far as the clutch problem, it may or may not happen to you, i drove the is3 pretty hard. the sign of the onset clutch problem is that there is a squeeling noise sounds like the fan belt is too dry and making that noise but if you engage the clutch paddle then it goes away and comes back.
i took my car to the dealer thinking its the fan belt but the diagnostic tech can tell right away its the bearing and the clutch, apparently they might have already known or encounter the problem through lexus headquarter already.
read or interact with other is3 owner at is300.net. they have a pretty well established website for is3 owners.
