Hey, new to this forum so any help would be appreciated. I have a 98 Gs300. Was getting a slight hesitation from a stop or crawling speeds, also feels sluggish when floored. Finally got a code and it was P1129. Anyone know where I should start? Thanks.
Possibly be a dying throttle motor or APPS sensor. However, if its the APPS, I think you get a P1120 or 22 code (cant remember which). Check around the throttle body for any signs of wear on the harnesses, move the 'butterfly' by hand and feel if there are any resistance with its movement. Maybe theres a bunch of carbon build up not allowing the TB to close all the way.
Before spending all the $$, I say, remove the TB and do a thorough cleaning.

Thanks, I've done that with a Toyota tb cleaner. I was told it could be the motor itself or a Tps sensor. Wonder if I would be better of swapping the whole throttle body housing and motor
LoL Go check out the prices on what you said, then come back and tell me how you feel about that
Yea, its possible that its the motor, sadly when it comes to those p112x codes, it can be the APPS, TPS or the motor since they all work together I say start with the TPS since you can get them for like ~$30 bucks.
I cleaned the MAF a little while ago and nothing changed. I know it's not super cheap but it wouldn't hurt to replace them. Maybe ill start with the TPS
Remember, no need to spend any $$ on the actual throttle body, its the motor you want. However, you can find used TB with motor much cheaper as a pair rather than buying the motor separately. IIRC the motor is about $280. When I had the P1120/P1121 problem, I was fortunate to find a TB with the APPS still attached for like $30 bucks... again, very lucky.
