Default Damaged cam end

Hey guys. I'm buttoning up my timing belt job and noticed this small nick in the exhaust camshaft. It goes just fad enough in past the first lip of the seal, but not the second one. Some light emery cloth didn't do a thing. What do you suppose I should try next, as to smoothing it out? Thanks

One time I nicked the cam on my sister Honda taking out the cam seal. Same thing to deep for emery cloth. I had nothing to loose so I pulled the cam to get good have nothing in the way. Took cut off wheel on dremel tool. I then very lightly touched the nicked area, this was to have clean bare metal. I cleaned area with a prep solvent I had. I bought the 2 part metal mind from parts store, followed directions and worked the stuff into nicked area. Once it set up over night I smoothed out with emery cloth. I did the repair at 180k miles and she sold the car 5 or six years later with over 330k. I can't believe it worked. I took the time to prep and clean . I can hear the laughing starting already. and you should. It saved me $400. Good luck

That's quite enlightening, as I'd considered filling the cuts lightly with JB Weld and smoothing it out. After finding nothing here or anywhere on the internet, I was fortunately successful this afternoon in running an uncomfortably heavy grit emery cloth with some 5w30 oil to lubricate the process, working my way up to 2,000 grit. It's now smooth polished and looking good. I'm quite proud of myself, really. I'll upload a pic for good measure. Thanks for chiming in.
