Part number is 168, but I cant find it in LED. Ive seen people put 194 LEDs in them, but it has caused problems with the brake light out warning light coming on.
Anyone have any input on this? Any 194 I can pop in there that will work without causing an issue, or is there somewhere I can get a 168 LED bulb. I should also add I plan on installing a 3rd brake light flasher for added safety
I put in a 194 and just pulled my rear tail light warning bulb from the dash. I'm sure there's some expensive bulbs with resistors in them but it wasn't worth it to me. It didn't bother me because I also had LED tails that were probably going to set them off anyways. As for the flasher, I am not a fan so I can't help you with that one
Same thing I did when I shaved the inners and replaced all the bulbs in my tails with red LEDs. simple, straight forward and took maybe 5 minutes, would take less now knowing the process.

LEDs in the third brake light will cause the brake light out warning, and the output isn't that much different from standard output. I chose to add a flasher module instead.

Yeah I wanted to pair the flasher with LEDs for a more quicker response. LEDs are instant on and off, while regular bulbs with the flasher wont have that effect.
