so the hoodlatch and the metal piece on the actual hood line up fine, but once i try to close it, the hoodlatch gets pushed down, but it doesnt lock in... any help would be appreciated, i tried looking up similar issues on the forum but couldnt find anything as related to my issue.

EDIT: FIXED

just pushed the hood wire from under the dash slightly in and i heard a amazing click sound, sound of success,
