Default gs4 vs. gs3

I've notice that many ads and question about gs4 owners listing their lexus for sale vs. the gs3 owners.
there seems to be alot less gs3 for sale for some reason. don't know if its just my observation or have anyone notice about that. i thought the gs4 is a better car. can owners of gs4 and gs3 list some of the likes and dislikes with their gs? i'm trying to get some insight as to which model to buy. any inputs will be appreciated.

thanks in advance

It is the opposite in my area. I couldn't find a low-mileage GS400 in MN, IA, and WI except GS300s. I found my GS400 two states away. I have a TL Type-S with 260 HP and wasn't going to buy a second vehicle with less power than the Type-S.

you see more 400s available then 300s? that's odd because there are so many more 300 outs there. its not the difference of the 540 versus the lower-end, but still.

anyways, i bought my GS3 after i had a deposit on a 430 because i had just read about a turbo coming out. that was about two years ago, and the turbo was recently released...after all my money when elsewhere, including down the drain. but since, i've enjoyed the 300 and the power is sufficient for me, even after adding just the exhaust, let alone intake, plugs, yadda.

so, unless you really have the cash already for the 400 or really like power-driving, the 3 should do the same for less. even though i don't have the turbo, i have no regrets because i'd rather handle well than go fast. amenties are the same. i'm very happy, but a turbo won't come back into the picture for a good year if it ever does now

I've only had my GS3 for 7 months, it really love it. I went shopping for a GS4 and only drove the GS3. Having the extra power would be great, I live in Orlando Florida and there are so many Cops and Highway Patrols on the roads. They pull you over for going 5 miles over the speed limit. I really wouldn't appreciate the extra power. I get tailed by so many cops in my GS3 and I'm not an aggressive driver. I think most people look at the GS as a hot car in general. My other car is a 1st Generation Q45, that thing really has power, so the GS3 was very impressive with respect to the V8 with 278 hp. The only thing I would recommend would be, to get the upgraded suspension model.
I have not modified the car yet, I plan to upgrade the wheels and suspension, possibly brakes and that's about it. No turbo needed here. The Inline six is all the power I need. I guess it's my age showing and kids college funds to payoff. Well to make a long story short, I would get the GS430 if you can afford it. The GS300 was just fine with me, I fell in love with the design of the car in general.
Most guys I know with GS4's really modify them and spend lots of time at the local speed track on Friday nights. Good Luck on your journey.
