Default Bluetooth Aux and Hands-Free Calling Additions

Hey CL friends,
Just wanted to give back to the community since you guys have been helpful to me over the years. I wanted to keep the stock radio, but upgrade it to stream music from my phone and have hands-free calling like the newer cars. I didn't want to go get an aftermarket radio, because I wanted to keep it nice and stock. The buttons at the bottom of the pic control the tracks and allow you to pick up and hang up calls.

Check out this install I did with these things. Let me know what you think.

1. I used this post by JayNunu to set up the Aux input which came in nicely.

Glad you got it working. It's real nice having a way to stream music without being plugged in.

For a cleaner install, you can consider running the input jack out the back of the radio and into the center console. A USB power jack can be tapped into the back of the cigarette lighter or any other 12v source, and also run into the center console. This will provide all the same functionality with no visible wires. Just an idea if you want to take it a step further.

It has been one of my best and favorite mods.

The sound is pretty clear. Ahh I thought about that method. I had my vaistech run from the head unit all the way back into the center console. I guess I wanted to keep the aux plug in the front just to make it easily accessible and the 3 charger ports would come handy too. I may think about that later on as I like hiding all the wires.
