Default Key fob not working after replacing passenger door lock actuator

I just replaced my passenger door lock actuator and now all of my door locks work but my key fob stopped working. the light turns on when I press the buttons on the key and it was working fine before I replaced the actuator today so something got screwed up. I tried reprogramming and I went thru every step fine but it still not working. Advice?

Do all the door locks work with the door lock switch?

Disconnect the battery for a while and reconnect and try again. Sometimes you need to reset the entire system. I hope and this help you.

I disconnected and tried again to reprogram the key and went through every step fine. I got the lock and unlock on the last try with the key fob but it still doesn't work after I closed the door.

Is all your fuses are good. Open the door panel again and look what maybe you screwed up on the wires, plug on the actuator or the actuator is not seat correctlly on place no matter what is working "normally".

Do you know which fuse I'm looking for to be bad? Or just all in general? I'll open the panel again and see if anything is loose

Hi Baconcake,

this EXACT issue just happened to me... All my door locks work perfectly but I have no access to the keyfob.

I have no idea what's wrong as I actually replaced this actuator a while back and nothing happened but something changed... Was there a lose contact or something? I think I'll have to redo the install as my cable is going to break soon.

Check key fob battery? Try a different fob?

I had the same issue and it ended up being the new actuator was not right. Mine was on the drivers side ended up taking apart the original and the new and swapping the motors then the fob worked.

Yeah, there's a rattle from my actuator so I think when my mechanic installed it, he must have made a mistake. Anyways, I just ordered a new Door lock actuator cable so when I replace that, I'll have him check the actuator again.
