New Tires leaking down.
6 month old new 20" Nexen 7000s on my car are leaking down. Only 2 of them do it. My friend ran the tire shop I purchased them from but she took another job. The person over the shop now always hated me. in our 20s we had words, he swung on me and ended up on the ground. I walked away as I didn't want to be an **** and pummel the guy.
Well, today they claim they checked my rims and tires. My rims and valve stem were covered in soap water and that was about it. I knew my rims had a few spots where they were bent from the previous owner hitting potholes. They said for $350-400 they would straighten them out. Id rather just get new rims. When I watched them balance them 6 months ago they didn't look that bad around the edges. The tires are barely worn down. I have no leaks around the stems or punctures in the tires. I guess I'm asking when I hit a bump are the bent rims losing air pressure? They stay aired up a lot longer when its parked so that why I'm asking this. I thought about going to another shop. Well soapy water is one of the easiest ways to check for leaks (other than visually). When they tested them were there any leaks around the bead or valve stems? Also, did you or they closely inspect the tires themselves for any punctures? Sometimes you might not notice a small nail but it'll do the job. Assuming it wasn't any of the things mentioned (and assuming your wheels aren't cracked), I'd probably say that the bent areas are most likely the culprit.
As for the wheels, it would depend on what they are before I spent extra money to repair them. If not, you might be able to sell them to someone who's willing to. Some money back is better than none.

Odds are there's a tiny bit of air leaking from the bead at those bends every time the wheel rolls over those spots. Had it happen once before, they wouldn't lose much air when parked unless you parked on the bend. That price seems high for straightening them, I might shop that around for a better quote before deciding to get new wheels, assuming you like the wheels and didn't want new ones anyway.
