How did you guys wire these in? Just tap into a 12v source that's only on with the key?

 

Yes. Unfortunately I couldn't find any that were only on with the key under the hood so I tapped into the "Gauge" fuse in the drivers side fuse panel. Just use the hot from fuse and ground the negative to the battery and you're set.

 

The 20 amp washer fuse is only on with the key in the on position also did you use any resistors?

 

Yes that fuse will work too. I didn't use any resistors

I've already done that but when you aren't using the factory harness you can't tie it in that easy

Maybe you should ground it to a ground instead of Neg terminal?
