I agree, I think you would have much better luck selling it at the Registry. I don't know who would purchase it here knowing all of the problems you had with the car. Your honesty is appreciated, but will make it harder to sell.

Thanks for the support fellas. The truth is that there really hasn't been many problems except for the tranny. It has just taken way toooooooo long to address certain issues. There are 3 issues to be resolved which is the tranny, tranny comp for shifting gears, and idle control adjustment. Well, this is the last round for SRT to get it right, so I will just wait out the extra 4-5 weeks and keep all of you updated. After I get the car back, I will write about my experience with this whole journey of mine. Whether that will be positive or negative will be largely based on what will happen in 4-5 weeks. If everything goes smoothly as promised, all these little issues are addressed, and the car is running as it should, you will definitely hear a positive praise, otherwise, I will tell it like it is.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I was really looking forward to meeting you and seeing your car at the meet in Houston. Hope you get it working and are able to move on to the next stage in your life.

From the little I have read, it looks like SRT is not making sure that you're happy, having you wait so long can't be making you happy. Is the delay due to them working out technical issues, or are they too busy working on other peoples cars? They didn't charge you enough I guess.

I would say they are very busy working on other peoples cars, however, at the same time I don't think the gear shifting has been figured out yet. Hopefully it will be taken care of when I get my baby back.

Just a guess, but I would say you could probably count the number of coversions like Mariusz's they have done on one hand. I could be wrong, but it doesnt seem like it.

I thought I saw your car at SRT. Wow! The built tranny went out? What happened? I haven't had any major problems with my setup, so far. Not even a shifting problem. Hmmm Sorry to hear about that.

It has come to my attention recently that several people have used what I posted as a pretext for something personal they feel or have against SRT. My update was meant as an honest update, yet from what I am hearing it has turned into a badmouthing excuse for some individuals that were never too crazy about SRT or have never done any business with them. I want it to be up front that I never said SRT can't get the job done or makes bad quality products. It is a fact that this this project has taken longer than expected and this has rubbed me the wrong way, but DO NOT mistake the time frame of the job with the ability to produce a remarkable and powerfull street car. If you want proof, just look at isman, Lexciting, and a few other monsters running around there. Another thing I would like to discuss briefly is what I have labeled as a "failed" tranny. I am not a mechanic, so when I say "failed" I meant that there was some type of a problem. This does not mean that the tranny is "shot, " "broken, or " fuc$## up" as some gently put it. The tranny has not been opened yet and there was no oil leaking, so although it deserves attention, I would not be surprised if it was something little. We will see in the upcoming weeks. It is very silly for me to have to go back and explain these things, but as I said before, it must be done as some people have taken my post and used it for their personal reasons to blemish SRT. Also, the fact that it has taken this long is also due to a very logical reason and a mishap of my own. SRT has many, with emphasis once again placed on "many" current customers having some insane projects going on that were never posted or mentioned here. Expect to see some insane Lexuses this summer. This alone, many times, ties their hands with certain jobs, trying to please everyone. I am not trying to brag about how many customers SRT has, but rather emphasize the trust and respect that exists between SRT and its customers. This has been gained and not bought. Add this to the fact that my car spent 3 months waiting in line (due to the fact that I brought it into the shop with an already blown tranny) and it begins to paint a whole different picture. Once again, my update here was meant as an honest update and I feel like a few individuals have twisted it and used it "in their own interest" to harm the company or its reputation. With this in mind, let me say this: I am very confident that Muhammed, Marken, and the crew will deliver as promised. They have gone out of their way during this project with little things that they were never obligated to do. For example, the crew has spent numerous hours on making detailed and precise cuts to my bumper (aftermarket fiberglass) in order to perfectly align the pipes to my liking. This was probably one of the dumbest things a customer can request, but there were never any if's or but's about it. Add that to a list of many other time consuming requests/options and you will see the dedication that goes into their customers' cars. They never got paid anything extra for it either. Not to mention the price on the TT setup as a whole (which I cannot mention or I would be shot on the spot ) wasn't even close to the retail price.

PS. I would like to ask mods to close this thread as I feel it has done more harm then good. Thank You.

The car still needs a fuel system as well as something that will give it the ability to shift properly without several second delays. Not to mention idle control adjustment . Hopefully I will get a chance to enjoy it sometime this year as it has seen MD for a total of 7 months now.
Thats good to hear that you are still satisfied with the level of support SRT has given you. I guess I misinterpreted your first post as being hung out to dry. Having experienced some bad customer service from Lexus recently I can certainly empithize! Good to hear that SRT is providing good support to you and is continuing to do so.

Stealther, I feel that. I did have a terrible experience with one of my local Lexus dealerships. In particular Difeo Lexus on Rt22 in NJ. They have done me wrong and I made sure I was heard loud and clear. Sometimes I can be a very tough person to please, but I think that is understandable as we are not dealing with matchbox toys here. Either way, I always have and still do (untill proven otherwise) support SRT, their products, and effort to bring out the best of our rides.
