Valet is unlocked but trunk latch doesn't open trunk. Further, key gets stuck in trunk as if it is the wrong key, but I'm pretty sure it is the right key!

To make matters worse, car battery dies but car battery jumper is in the trunk - go figure.

Note that the problems above happen even with a charged battery - I can only open the trunk by pressing the trunk button on the key remote (and can't now till I jump battery).

 

Ok got the car jumped. With the car running, the interior trunk button does open the trunk now (as well as the button on the key). Will see what happens when I shut the car off later.
