Steering Wheel control issue - up/down
hey guys, just wondering if anyone has seen this before.
I've run aftermarket stereo in my 02 GS430 since I got it a few years back, and it didn't have steering wheel control support at the time.
I recently got a new Sony deck that does, so I picked up an Axxess steering wheel control module ( ASWC-TOY-LEX )
Plugged it in, it auto-detects and seems to work out of the box. However, I'd say maybe 5-10% of the time I press the Up/Down buttons to change tracks, it activates ATT/Mute on my receiver. Sometimes if I press it again it will unmute, but most of the time I have to press Vol Up (to cancel ATT/Mute), or press the Set button (which was auto-programmed to ATT/Mute)
I checked with Metro support, they weren't able to offer too much that I already tried, but they claimed that their module was very simple and only translates whatever it is fed, so they suspect the steering wheel control itself.
Has anyone seen a faulty steering wheel control before? Is there an easy way to test the button presses coming from my control with a multimeter or some other device?
